Reality contains its own unparalleled beauty coming from the endless recreation of nature. The fantastic and unexpected, the ever-changing and renewing are exemplified in life itself. Ventus is the wind on which change wafts into your space, honoring traditions while instilling new life.

Ventus proudly infuses our work with four core Japanese values:

Wa (Harmony) | Kei (Respect) | Sei (Purity) | Jaku (Serenity)

By practicing these values, our team is able to continuously explore new possibilities and potentials; unleashing the opportunity to create the very best results for our clients.

Reiko Lewis has nearly two decade of worldwide experience designing for some of the biggest names in the high-end hospitality interior design industry, including HBA and WATG. She has worked with a number of major hotels, chains and resort owners.

Reiko’s work has been featured in various trade magazines and displayed at hospitality design shows nationwide. In 2010 her firm, Ventus Design, received multiple Hawaii design awards for its first project, “Residence at Paiko Ridge.” In 2004, Reiko’s designs for the Royal and Presidential Suites at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens, Greece, were nominated for the prestigious Gold Key Award and featured in Architectural Digest.

Reiko infuses Ventus Design’s work with four core Japanese values – Wa (Harmony), Kei (Respect), Sei (Purity) and Jaku (Serenity) – which she also applies to the way with which she manages projects and her team.

Clients often say they enjoy working with Reiko thanks, not only to her talent and outstanding designs, but also because of her artful skill as a project leader, which allows her to know how to build a team and instill in its members a new level of pride in their work.

Now Aging-in-Place certified (CAPS) for senior-living design work, Reiko can direct her passion for design to this specialized area, meeting its challenges by applying universal design principles without sacrificing the aesthetics and qi (chi), or “energy,” of the space.

An accomplished ceramic artist and jewelry designer, Reiko has exhibited her work in galleries and boutiques in the U.S. and Japan. She has also launched Ventus-branded lines of jewelry, home decor and furnishings.

A native of Japan, Reiko has worked in a number of Asian countries and is familiar with Asian cultures, business environments and practices. Her Asian background, coupled with her Western experience, has instilled in her the ability to marry the two worlds and bring to life new and exciting concepts.
