Aging In Home Services in Hawaii
Ventus Design helps older adults who wish to age in place by offering in-home health care services that enhance their physical, mental and social health. We partner with trusted providers in Honolulu to improve seniors' quality of life and promote independent living.
We hope to improve the aging population's overall well-being by making these services available at home:
Physical therapy: An experienced physical therapist works closely with older adults, intently listening to their problems or physical limitations, observing movements and reviewing medical histories to provide an accurate diagnosis and develop an effective treatment plan. The treatment can include stretching or strengthening exercises and hands-on therapy to improve movement. It can also help manage pain after an injury or when seniors have a chronic health condition.
Massage therapy: Skilled massage therapists help seniors relax or treat discomfort through soft tissue manipulation. They know where to target points of tension to relieve stress or improve circulation. They can advise older adults on the best relaxation or stretching techniques that benefit them.
Nutrition: Proper nutrition reduces the risk of seniors developing chronic health problems. At Ventus Design, we work with nutritionists to help the aging population stay healthy through balanced and nutritious meals. Well-trained nutritionists assess each adult's dietary needs to create personalized plans that address health problems and enhance their well-being.
Home nursing services: Home care services can include assistance with seniors' daily tasks, such as bathing, grooming and dressing. Nurses can also help with medication management, offer companionship or assist seniors with making meals. Other services can include pain management, grocery shopping, laundry and other household chores, and assistance with medical appointments.
Companionship: Isolation will lead to sickness in many cases, and home care can help seniors feel more connected. Social engagement helps prevent sickness, whereas isolation can lead to “institutional care” – the opposite of what a senior wants when they decide to age in place at home.
Better for the economy: In-home services to help seniors age in place can reduce medical costs and enrich Hawaii’s economy by helping small business owners connect with seniors who can benefit from their services. Not only do the seniors benefit from lower medical expenses, but the small businesses and their employees do, too.
